| The Best Dystopian Movies of All Time | ||||||
I am a huge fan of Dystopian Sci Fi. What is Dystopian literature, you may ask? It is another branch of speculative fiction. In a Utopia, everyone is happy, everything is wonderful, and there is a perfect social, legal, and political system. Utopia is a place that does not exist. Dystopia, on the other hand, is a negative Utopia. A dystopia, is a totalitarian and repressive world where there is no social, legal, or political justice. Satirical novels with fantastic settings may be considered speculative fiction; Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale, George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four, Alduous Huxley's Brave New World, Anthony Burgess's A Clockwork Orange, and Ayn Rand's Anthem are examples of this genre. Most of the Dystopian Sci Fi I have loved in my life has been in the form of books, however, there are also some really great movies in that genre too. The ones I personally have watched are in bold
